Simple Snacks (part 1)

Snacks are a big part of motherhood, and not just for the kids, mom’s too! Especially when you’re on the go!

As parents we’re so busy making sure our kids get everything they need that it’s easy to find ourselves starving or in need of a snack to hold us over until we can prepare a meal. Or maybe your child is hungry but you’re out and about and don’t want to drive through a toxic fast food restaurant but you need a healthy snack to give them. Good news! I’ve got some great options for you!

I’m doing a “simple snacks” series where I will be listing various healthy snacks for your child (or you) that you can feel good about. Part 1 is snacks with just ONE ingredient. It’s so hard these days to find store bought snacks without tons of ingredients and it’s even harder to find them with quality ingredients that are recognizable – and its SO RARE to find just ONE ORGANIC ingredient but here are five with just that!

  1. Bare Granny Smith Organic Apple Chips ( ingredient: organic apples)
  2. Solely fruit jerky (mango) (ingredient: organic mango)
  3. Rhythm organic carrot sticks (ingredient: organic carrots)
  4. Maisie Jane’s organic crunchy almond butter (ingredient: organic almond butter)
  5. Blue Stripes dried cacao fruit (ingredient: organic cacao fruit)

Side note: The snacks listed here are more ideal for bigger kids and not toddlers but use your momma judgement and intuition based on your own child and how they eat).
